LED light for use in professional treatment is not a new concept, the use of multiple LED lamps, clients relaxing and listening to custom playlists underneath them however is – and we are so here for it!

Melbourne business owner Lisa Vong of Fresh Face Bar is not a Beauty Therapist, she is a forward thinker. Owning two lash bars in South Yarra and Prahran, Lisa listened to her clients concerns and dreams of having great skin and set out to find the answer.

“Our clients were coming in and telling me they had been spending money on expensive makeup in order to help their skin concerns, and unfortunately I knew this wasn’t going to help them reach their desired skin outcome.”.

Trialling the idea, Lisa introduced express facial services into her lash bar and noticed that the clients were loving the changes, and set out to create a designation to serve the wider beauty industry – thus Fresh Face Bar, an express facial LED lounge on Bridge Road, Richmond was born.

Using two Dermalux LED lamps in their light lounge, the area is equipped with large Fenton-esque chairs, kitch natural surroundings and a fully stocked retail area, all which create activation that can be sighted from trams travelling down Bridge Road.

Jessica Lloyd, Assistant Manager of Fresh Face Bar mentions to Tamara Shaw on the Beaute Industrie podcast “our clients will often come in straight off the tram and tell us that they could see the LED lights while passing by, which make them come in and ask about our services!”.

Understanding the busy lives that we live and the need for fast results based treatments, in a relaxing yet minimal time frame, means clients are able to have their skin and mind looked after in the one appointment. “Our girls have the ability to create such an amazing feel in the salon that even if you are the most busy person and you only have 15 minutes for an LED treatment, you still leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.”, says Lisa.

Plans to expand the business are on the horizon as Lisa sets her sights on another two locations in the coming years, something busy clients so desperately need!

An emotionally intelligent business owner, Lisa puts a call out to all Melbourne based therapists in desire to refill their cup to pop into Fresh Face Bar and have a treatment themselves in order to best serve others.

Further discussion around booking columns, retail sales and reception duties were top of our list of questions when interviewing Lisa on the Beaute Industrie podcast, all of which can be heard here.
