Late last year, Australia welcomed the arrival of a new skin health supplement range, and we’re here to bring you all the details. The brand’s ethos when it comes to skin health is that internal vitamins and nutrients should be used in conjunction with topical skincare in order to complement and maximise the effect of one’s routine. David says what sets the brand apart from other supplements is their specific focus on skin. “We have made it our business to look at, understand, and find out how it is that we can help skin through oral skincare. As many of you skincare professionals know, it’s extremely hard to get molecules to penetrate the skin from the outside – skin is designed to keep the world out, so getting something at efficacious levels through the skin is challenging. When you feed the skin from the inside, the way nature designed it, it’s much easier to feed all of the cells all over the body and you can feed it for 24 hours a day and bathe them in nutrients.”

Another core value proudly shared by Advanced Nutrition Programme is their commitment to the environment. David is a passionate marine photographer who decided in 2017 to re-brand the range and introduce 100% environmentally friendly, recycled and recyclable paper-based packaging, after becoming increasingly appalled by the evidential damage he was witnessing to the marine ecosystem. He also insists on plant-based ingredients where possible, full traceability of ingredients, purified fish oils and heavily invested in building a sophisticated climate-controlled packaging environment to ensure the highest quality control of products within the range.

According to David, Advanced Nutrition Programme products go through years of rigorous testing and trials before they hit the market, with each undergoing over 400 independent external tests to ensure efficacy. This means a new launch can take up to four years, however as David tells us, this means when a new product hits the shelves, the team is irrefutably confident about every ingredient’s benefits and assured results.

So, how does Advanced Nutrition Programme work synergistically with a clients homecare routine? David shares; ‘the reality of it is that we know the (skins) receptors need to be activated in order to stimulate collagen and stimulate elastin to repair DNA, and so on. You can put all sorts of fancy things like chocolate and caviar on the skin, but sadly, they’re not going to stimulate those receptors. So basically we encourage lots of vitamin A and vitamin D to enter the skin, which will govern or guide a lot of skincare processes like proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis’, which as we know, many clients aren’t honouring these natural skincare growth phases through their current lifestyle habits, therefore introducing them orally alongside their topical skincare routine boosts the effects of ingredient absorption.
