One of Melbourne’s most well known cosmetic tattoo artists is launching her own business academy. Clare Martin of CMCosmetic Tattoo sets her sights on coaching and mentoring budding and existing artists so they can focus on their art.

If you search through Clare Martin’s Cosmetic Tattoo Facebook page, you’ll see 75 reviews, whom have all rated her art five out of five stars, but it’s not just her art that makes the treatment, it’s the complete service. “I’m absolutely overwhelmed by those reviews and it’s something I am really proud of.” Clare says to Tamara on the Beaute Industrie podcast.

“Over the years in business I’ve learnt that I genuinely have a passion and a care for not only my clients, but my art and I really feel that all work and all business in the beauty industry should come from a place of authenticity.”

Being a perfectionist and build through frustration, Clare noticed the gap between the art of the tattoo and the business. Realising there are two distinct sides of the business, the creative and the operative, Clare has designed a 12 week program designed to ‘take away the emotional weight of cosmetic tattooing by building a solid business foundation through improved mind-set and valuable systems’.

The Clare Martin Business Academy focuses on systems, client expectations, consultations, business operations and is targeted to all walks of the industry from the therapist who hasn’t attended a course yet through to the most experienced tattoo artists, with a mission for artists to move from generalists to specialists.

‘Honesty, integrity, time and care’ are Clare key differences in performing the service, and if that’s anything to go by, The Clare Martin Business Academy and it’s students are about to flourish under her guidance.
